Director of Marketing & Design
Keith is the Director of Design, Technology, and Marketing at Higher Yields Cannabis Consulting. Keith is one of the founders of Higher Yields Cannabis and their first hire. He not only develops HYC’s branding and marketing efforts, he is also in charge of developing HYC’s clients’ brands and marketing plans. Priding himself in creating cohesive and eye-catching designs that make emotional connections between the brand and consumer. These efforts elevate HYC and their clients to the top and over the competition.
Keith has helped generate over 1 million dollars in revenue in just 1 year with very little capital or manpower (2018). Keith was one of the reasons that HYC was ranked as the 62nd most profitable ancillary cannabis business in the world by Cannabis Business Executive in 2018. He also helped find international clients to facilitate the global expansion of HYC. Marketing and branding have been key components in the success of Higher Yields and Keith is a huge part of that.
With almost 3 full decades under his belt in the workforce, Keith has accumulated quite a varied and valuable skill set. Studying accounting in college, and working in the insurance industry for 3 years made him realize that cubicle life was not for him. He later went back to school to learn about computers, mainly computer networking. Being a network administrator and self-employed for roughly a decade allowed Keith to learn a lot about technology and running a business. In his mid 30s he reinvented himself again, this time following his true loves of art and design.
Gigliotti has been designing websites for almost 20 years and practicing graphic design for even longer. With a DIY attitude Keith is also well versed in audio and video production as well as an expert in on-page SEO. He’s been a recording musician and occasional sound engineer for almost 20 years too. Did we mention he is also an award-winning artist? “I have a lot of hobbies that turned into a job”, says Gigliotti, “I’m a workaholic, and you might as well enjoy what you do for work. I’m extremely lucky.”
HYC and Keith are a match made in heaven, with his varied skill set he was able to convince Higher Yields he was the right choice to build their future around, being able to develop the marketing, branding, and technology that is the foundation of HYC was vital to growing HYC into one of the fastest-growing consultation firms in the USA.
Melding his love and experience with the plant, along with his tech, design, art, marketing and branding skill sets has made it difficult to actually give Keith an official work title. Like many HYC employees Keith is Jack-of-all-Trades who wears many hats, it’s the HYC way. Some times we refer to these types as “tweeners” or in-betweeners, it’s been an effective philosophy in building the company in the early days.
In Keith’s case it allowed HYC to offer in-house services many fellow cannabis consulting firms outsource, and often times to generic marketing and branding companies who do not understand the plant or the new cannabis industry. In HYC’s case it allowed them to lean on marketing and branding resources from within over a long period of time and build a solid foundation to grow on.
